Mid November 2009 and the week of the disastrous floods but this was on the Tuesday and at the time we had no idea what Thursday would bring. It was windy and the clouds were moving quite quickly and as we were walking along the side of this river the sun suddenly came out and lit the tops of these trees and the rust-coloured bracken on the hillside beyond. It only lasted a few seconds and our cameras were not yet out of the bags so we set up and waited in optimism. Walkers came by and asked what we were hoping for then went on their way thinking we were crackers, it must have been about 45 minutes before it happened but this time the light was aimed at just the tops of the trees and it gave a much more pleasing result. Well worth the wait.
