A
really early morning start on a Saturday, I was pleased to see
that the paper shop in Dolgellau was open at 6.30am so I could
be sure of The Times, the ink was still warm! Anyway I was off
to Cregennan lakes where I was surprised to find that World Cup
fever was already rampant, I'm sure this was much to the dismay
of the occupants of a camper van parked on the car park that some
insomniac youths were adapting as a football pitch. It was an
overcast day but I was hopeful of a break in the clouds later
so I sat myself down and stared at Barmouth from my vigil high
above the Mawdach estuary. At 10.00am I got my shot.
