There were still a few leaves on the trees on the day that I visited this wood, the autumn canopies have lasted well this year, this particular image having been taken in mid November. I had never explored the country just inland from Caswell Bay before and I was pleasantly surprised, the trees are mainly beech in this part and provide a deep-pile natural carpet on the floor and splendid light from above.
